Francesco Daniel Donati

FrancesoFrancesco Daniel Donati was born in Innsbruck, Austria in 1982. He graduated with honor in 2008 in Law at the University of Pavia. After graduation he carried out, for a few years, the activity of legal consultant at a notary studio, in addition to organizing cultural and musical events. Discovering an ever stronger passion for this activity, in 2013 he attended the Master in Management of Performing Arts (MASP) at Bocconi University, in collaboration with Accademia della Scala and the Piccolo Teatro in Milan, permanently devoting himself to promoting cultural and musical events. After the Master, he worked at the Opéra National de Paris.

In 2009 he founded Association Bottesini, with the intent of promoting the rediscovery and valorization of musicians from Crema (Cavalli, Bottesini, Pavesi and others). In the same year, he was the creator and artistic director of the world premiere in the modern era of the opera “Ero e Leandro” by G. Bottesini. After having been absent for more than a century from the theatrical scenes, the opera was recovered from an autographed manuscript and starred bass Roberto Scandinuzzi. From the opera, a DVD was produced and distributed by the record company Dynamic. Important musical and opera events follow “Ero e Leandro”, with the participation of, amongst others, the soprano June Anderson, the violinist Michael Guttman, the double bass players Enrico Fagone and Tim Cobb and the clarinet player Corrado Giuffredi. From 2007 until 2015 he worked with the Association Dimore Storiche Italiane (ADSI) as the President of the Youg Group for the Lombardy Region between 2011 and 2013 and National Councilor.

In 2018 he is the Artistic Director of the Crema Film Festival.
Since 2015 he has been the artistic director of the Portofino International Opera Competition.
Since 2016 he is General Manager of the Bottesini Competition.
From 2019 he is Consultant of the Bologna Festival
