CMC Cavalli Monteverdi Competition
CMC is a new international baroque singing competition, named after Francesco Cavalli from Crema and Claudio Monteverdi from Cremona, fathers of baroque opera. The Competition allows to enhance a unique artistic and musical heritage, creating a synergic bridge between territories, traditions and institutions.
The project is part of a context of true Renaissance of baroque opera, incentivizing and encouraging young artists to specialize in this genre. The Competition also aims to create job opportunities for the best young talents involved.

“For many reasons, CMC is the most exciting cultural project capable of uniting the territories of Crema and Cremona, celebrating the legacy of Monteverdi and Cavalli while offering unique opportunities to young singers specializing in Baroque opera.”
